Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the Jobs in Psychedelics website at jobsinpsychedelics.com (the "Platform"). The Platform is operated by Jobs in Psychedelics ("we", "us", "our"), a United Kingdom–based business.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Definitions

  • "Candidate" — a registered user who uses the Platform to search for jobs, save listings, and submit applications
  • "Employer" — a registered user who uses the Platform to post job listings, manage applications, and recruit candidates
  • "Job Listing" — a job advertisement posted by an Employer on the Platform
  • "Subscription" — a paid plan that grants an Employer access to posting and recruitment features

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By registering an account, you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or in a manner that could harm the Platform or its users.

5. Candidate terms

5.1 Accuracy of information

You agree to provide accurate and truthful information in your profile, CV, and job applications. Misrepresenting your qualifications, experience, or identity is prohibited.

5.2 Applications

When you apply for a Job Listing, your application details (including your name, email, cover letter, CV, screening question responses, and profile information) will be shared with the relevant Employer. You consent to this sharing by submitting an application.

5.3 No guarantee of employment

We are a platform that connects Candidates with Employers. We do not guarantee that you will receive responses, interviews, or offers of employment.

6. Employer terms

6.1 Job listing content

You are solely responsible for the content of your Job Listings. All listings must:

  • Relate to a genuine vacancy
  • Comply with all applicable UK employment law, including the Equality Act 2010
  • Not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation
  • Accurately describe the role, responsibilities, location, and compensation
  • Not contain misleading or deceptive information

6.2 Use of candidate data

You may only use candidate application data for the purpose of evaluating candidates for the specific role they applied to. You must not:

  • Share candidate data with third parties without the candidate's consent
  • Use candidate data for unsolicited marketing
  • Retain candidate data longer than necessary for recruitment purposes

As an Employer, you are a data controller in your own right for candidate data you receive through the Platform. You must comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

6.3 Subscriptions and payment

Employer features require a paid Subscription. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • All prices are displayed in GBP and are exclusive of VAT where applicable
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless cancelled
  • You may cancel your Subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law
  • We reserve the right to change Subscription prices with 30 days' notice

Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

7. Prohibited conduct

You must not use the Platform to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the Platform
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or other users' accounts
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Use the Platform for any activity that violates applicable UK or international law
  • Post job listings for roles that are illegal, or that promote illegal activity
  • Spam other users through the Platform's messaging or application features

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these provisions without notice.

8. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by us and protected by UK and international intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you post on the Platform (such as Job Listings, CVs, and profile information). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and store that content for the purpose of operating the Platform.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform content without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We make no warranty that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • We do not verify the accuracy of Job Listings, company information, or candidate profiles
  • We are not responsible for the conduct of Employers or Candidates, or for any employment decisions made through the Platform
  • We do not endorse any Employer, Candidate, or Job Listing

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform
  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform
  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Content you post on the Platform
  • Your violation of applicable law or the rights of any third party

12. Account deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion:

  • Your profile and associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days
  • Active Subscriptions will be cancelled
  • Job Listings associated with your account will be removed
  • Applications you have submitted will be anonymised

We may retain certain data where required by law (for example, financial records for HMRC compliance).

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
